This policy applies to all users of the Residence platform, including estate administrators, residents, security personnel, and visitors who interact with our services.

  • Personal Information: Name, phone number, email address, and home address.
  • Estate Data: Unit numbers, vehicle license plates (for gate access), and payment history.
  • Technical Data: IP address, device type, browser information, and app usage patterns.
  • Financial Data: Payment methods and transaction history (processed via Paystack).
  • Visitor Data: Names and phone numbers of visitors registered through the platform.

3. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to facilitate estate operations, including:

  • Generating and validating visitor access codes.
  • Processing automated dues payments via Paystack.
  • Sending critical estate announcements and payment reminders.
  • Ensuring financial transparency for estate boards.
  • Providing customer support and resolving disputes.
  • Improving our platform based on usage analytics.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data with:

  • Payment Processors: Paystack for transaction processing (PCI DSS compliant).
  • Estate Management: Your estate board has access to resident data for administrative purposes.
  • Service Providers: Cloud hosting and email service providers under strict data processing agreements.
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or government regulation.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

  • AES-256 encryption for data at rest.
  • TLS 1.3 encryption for data in transit.

We retain your personal data for as long as your estate subscription is active or as needed to provide services. Financial records are retained for 7 years to comply with Nigerian tax regulations. After account termination, personal data is deleted within 90 days unless required for legal purposes.

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data we hold.
